The MDC 100 building in Quezon City features a landmark achievement in high-altitude rotating engineering: the Philippines' first and only revolving restaurant platform. Designed, manufactured, and installed by Shenyang Weizhong Revolving Machinery Co., Ltd., this project exemplifies precision mechanical integration at scale.
Located on the 33rd floor, the 32.35-meter diameter platform utilizes Weizhong's proprietary Pin-Gear Drive technology. This specialized system was selected to overcome the challenges of high-altitude wind loads while ensuring a silent, vibration-free 360-degree rotation. The engineering focus was on providing absolute synchronization and stability, which are critical for maintaining a premium atmosphere in a skyscraper environment.
Since its completion in 2013, the revolving mechanism has delivered flawless operational performance. Weizhong's team managed the entire technical scope—from structural load-bearing analysis to on-site precision alignment—ensuring the system met stringent safety and architectural standards.
The 100 Revolving Restaurant project stands as a testament to Weizhong’s ability to deliver heavy-duty industrial rotating solutions for iconic high-rise buildings globally, providing a seamless blend of advanced engineering and exceptional architectural utility.
