One of its most complex engineering features is the synchronized double-deck revolving platform system installed on the 105th and 106th floors, designed and manufactured by Shenyang Weizhong Revolving Machinery Co., Ltd.
Operating at an altitude of over 400 meters, these 28-meter diameter platforms utilize Weizhong's proprietary Pin-Gear Drive system. This advanced mechanical solution was specifically engineered to overcome the challenges of high-altitude structural wind loads while ensuring absolute stability and zero-vibration rotation for the dining areas.
Our engineering team delivered multiple rotating systems for this project, including the mechanisms for the LUTECE restaurant (105F), the TWIST restaurant (106F), and the COLOUR CANTON fine dining area. Each platform is built to handle heavy-duty loads while maintaining silent operation, a prerequisite for luxury skyscraper environments.
Since its completion in 2007, the revolving mechanisms at Canton Tower have demonstrated exceptional mechanical longevity.
